Emily Stromberg, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP | Principal Architect & CFO

Emily is a Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia.  She brings to the firm over 15 years of diverse professional and nonprofit experience and has worked in Philadelphia for over 12 years. Her previous work experience includes cultural, institutional, and community-based projects as well as custom high-end residential. Emily spent four years at the Community Design Collaborative, an organization that provides pro bono design services for local non-profit groups. She has worked on the design of numerous sustainable projects, including the retail fit-out of the Penn Herb Co. the Puentes de Salud Community Health and Wellness Center, and Carpenter Square. Emily has also taught undergraduate architectural design studios as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University and Drexel University. She is a founding Board Member & former Treasurer of Stanton Community Partners (SCP) and  spearheaded efforts to build a sustainable playground at E.M. Stanton Elementary School.   

Christopher Stromberg, AIA, LEED AP | Design Principal

Christopher is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida.  Christopher brings over 20 years of diverse professional experience and has worked in the City of Philadelphia for over a decade. His past work experience includes cultural, institutional and large commercial projects as well as multi-family developments. Christopher is co-founder of the Western Collective, a collaborative studio & workshop comprised of local artists, writers, architects, and woodworkers. As a partner at Johnston Stromberg Architecture, he led the design and oversaw construction of Carpenter Square, a LEED-Platinum, 18-unit mixed-use project in SW Center City. Additionally, Christopher has taught architectural design as an adjunct faculty member at Philadelphia University and Temple University. He sits on the Board of Directors for SOSNA (South of South Neighborhood Association) and is the former Chair of SOSNA’s Architectural Review Committee. He also serves on the Building Committee at his children’s school, E.M. Stanton Elementary. 

Francesca Crivelli, Associate AIA | Architectural Designer

Francesca is an associate member of the AIA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. Her previous work experience includes commercial, residential, and institutional architecture as well as interior design. She has worked as a supporting team member on interior renovations of notable buildings such as Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and the Theater of the Living Arts. In addition to architecture, Francesca also has interest in graphic design and fashion which she continues to nurture in her spare time.
